We wonder what Thomas Edison would think of a smart phone and digital, wireless video, vs. his invention 100 years ago

Video Power!

Special Note: Please see below samples of the large volume and variety of videos we produce for each Online Job Tour production.

Since the invention of Online Job Tour, we anticipated the Internet would grow with video becoming an integral part of web content. Through our test market in the 2000s, we were aware of the challenges of playing video on devices with poor Internet speeds, and the emergence of mobile and smart phones when we developed the first mobile Online Job Tour. During our important test market through the 2000s and today, we continue to learn how changing technology can improve our work, from time-saving production keys, even “tricks of the trade,” which save money that we pass on to clients, as well as give the videos we produce more value to prospects and candidates, and sustainability in our work.

How do our years of experience with video shoots and production, make a difference? Among many examples, here are a few:

During a video shoot with your employees, we have subjects give the year they started when giving video testimony, instead of how many years they have been employed.  This small and seemingly meaningless direction means the video will not be inaccurate next year, giving it more life.  We see this mistake repeatedly from general video companies, whose videos become quickly dated/old.  Another example is when interviewing multiple physicians, we script and then offer different subjects that we have researched to be recruiting assets that favor our client, for each to select from, based on their own interests.  Each professional talks about a different subject through a choreographed video set, while we keep them comfortable with the process.  The result is robust, meaningful, useful content for candidates that have few cliches, covering multiple subjects, that supports the written content and photography of the professionals and subject we feature.  Each video shoot with an individual person or group, involves the important component of relaxing the subjects with a “pre-shoot” discussion that we make seem natural. We ask questions of the subjects so they will have better recall of that answer when the camera is on them. We then often stand behind the camera with notes from our talk – in every case, we know what we want the subject to discuss but we capture it in their words and in a way that accept and like - it’s too crucial, and time is of the essense.   The attention span, and time, of candidates and their spouses is something we respect and they appreciate.  These factors and others, go into our video production.

Crucial Experience:  We understand critical factors that range from knowing what physicians need to know, getting direct feedback from them they may not tell our clients, understanding their income levels and what they can buy for their lives, and we consider client competitors, like they do.  Our patented approach of emulating the real interview experience while providing a better, wider range of video content obtains take-aways by candidates that educate them while favoring our client, providing tremendous advantages.  We know far more than PR, marketing and independent video producers, who can only follow instruction - we are intuitive, and can be far more efficient, produce better messages via video and we are less expensive.  We also work more efficiently; in a day we may do as many as 10 video shoots, which is impossible with standard video producers.

Emotions:  Because we produce multiple videos for each Online Job Tour, we have the flexibility to be serious in some of them, funny in some, and mix fun and compelling videos with the longer ones which need to have the details.  We can tap into the wide range of emotions and senses of your prospects, which is crucial to selling/recruiting.

  • Our videos come across as impromptu and natural, providing the “take-away” for which they are intented.  But every one is pre-planned because they need to be, in order to get the information delivered and to maximize time.

Seriously, how dominant are our productions, made for classified employment advertuising and medical recruiting?

For 120-bed Franklin Woods Community Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee, its Online Job Tour has 180 videos; aside from the other content, the investment in our productions is often less than what employers will pay to have a single traditional 8 minute recruiting video – there’s really no comparison!

Our Hallmarks:  Unmatched volume and breadth of content.  We can produce an uncanny number, and variety, of video to support our online content – aside from the 250+ pages and 7,500 original photos, each Online Job Tour in our latest design can have more than 75 videos.

The videos, like our productions, come across as having a natural “flow” because our product is a “tour.”  It looks “natural” (but you understand we are “guiding” your candidates while informing them), to help you close them expeditiously while you beat competitors. The results are better efficiency, better decisions, and better outcomes.

We maintain our productions to keep them current, and build on their success, with scheduled repeat visits to add new client information, and new employees who benefitted from Online Job Tour give their testimony, which motivates the latest prospects, plus we add new and more area information. We grow with the client

116-bed Johnston Memorial Hospital, in Abingdon, Virginia, is growing into a regional referral campus for cardiology and cancer care; it’s service area is also the epicenter for regional theater and a state tourism initiative focused on Appalachian heritage music – its Online Job Tour hosts approximately 90 videos

Home of the Manatee, Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center boasts an impressive regional heart program, and its service area also boasts a multi-million dollar, 2014 high school campus – more than 50 videos take the hospital’s candidates through campus, introduces them to staff and community leaders, and manatee!

“Produce Online Job Tours for our clients as though they are meant to help them recruit physicians who will treat our own family members. Work with passion, and meet production dates!”

State of the Art Equipment and Studio, Experienced Professionals, Setting and Executive a detailed plan, the Best Editors, and the Best Team, provide our unbeatable results!

We have been doing video shoots, editing and production with so many projects over the years, that we not only know what other video production companies don’t, but we have the ability to be more creative and continue to push quality and volume.

We have the best equipment for our on-site work that we do, and we have the ability to be impromptu.  Dealing with and working with subjects that can range from a recital to a football game, to a college dean, a mayor, to a business owner, takes a talent and ability to work with others, make them comfortable and have it show, and stay focused on the task and what is ultimately needed from the shoot.  Then it’s a matter of editing, and production.  Additionally, we have to understand how the video will be watched and optmize them for different computer devices.  This full spectrum of understanding, with many technology targets and products changing, are what we do.

We aren’t Stephen Speilberg, which is good because your budget cannot afford him!

Who we are is an experienced production company that will provide film quality that is extremely impressive, but will not win an Academy Award.  When we are on site, you will be impressed with how we can flit around quickly and deliberately, doing as many as 10 video shoots in one day, without mistakes, and on our agreed-upon budget.   Your candidates and their families will tell you that your Online JobTour is the best recruiting product they have seen.  Your organization will hire the professionals you need.  And you’ll forget about Stephen Speilberg.

While we applaud the efforts of many employers who financed the tradtional recruiting video, our discussions with our clients who have tried them, as well as with thousands of jobseekers, leaves us wondering if the eight-minute recruiting video ever really worked

Rest in Peace: The Traditional 8-minute recruitment video

Usually produced by video people with no recruiting knowledge, who cannot offer any advice or ideas, and solely taking directions, they don’t contribute to the creative process.   The client is usually not involved in the editing/production process.  The traditional recruiting video is also limited by a preset time, which promotes editing cuts in information provided to prospects. At best, the standard video, while often elegantly produced – because the video folks know how to do that part, falls short on information and usually creates more questions than answers.

The traditional recruiting video moves quickly through limited subjects, there are a few professionals interviewed who typically describe subjects generally, and they use cliches.

Many employers take shortcuts and use tourism videos, which leave out for many prospects the most important subjects, such as schools and the area economy, and real estate, not to mention the employer’s details!

Many employers place their videos on YouTube®, and are unaware that by doing so, they waive all copyrites and protections.

The traditional video ages quickly.

Often, employers don’t keep a relationship with the organization who made the video, and do not continue to make sure the video is optimized for the latest browsers and computer devices.

These are some of the limitations of the traditional video, whose cost doesn’t yield results, but is similar to the investment in Online Job Tour.
